I'm considering 2 subs: SVS 25-31 PC-Plus and AV123 MFW-15

I have a 16x21x10 room that opens to a 16x14x10 kitchen.

I will listen mostly to movies (some music, but not critical listening).

From the Craigsub list, it appears the MFW-15 is the right choice, though the 29-31 is not ranked.

What are the key differences between these subs?

Pricewise, both these are OK. Is the SVS better for the $$$?

Hey AZGator,

I had the 20-39 PC Plus prior to my order on the MFW-15. I switched because I wanted a change in my current setup. Soundwise, I didn't have any issues whatsoever with it, just that I wanted to change it out and try other subs. I guess I also wanted something with a little more kick to it and figured a 15 would do that rather than the 12. Also, I wanted to get something a little less intrusive in my living room. When I asked around, I was told by others who had the same sub as I had, that I would definitely be able to notice a difference between the two, with the MFW edging it out on both quality and quantity of bass. I'll know soon enough when when mine finally gets shipped out to me and see how it interacts with my room. Good luck on which ever one you decide on as they are both well-regarded subs.
