Sup,

I just got the Klipsch promedia 5.1. The sub has 1/8 jack inputs for front, rear, and sub/center. Pictured here:

I order an Onkyo HT-R540 (waiting for it to arrive) that has a Sub Preout, which looks like an RCA output. These are the connections:

I plan on connecting the speakers directly to the receiver. Now im wondering is some way that i can connect the sub to receiver?
Would this wire work to connect it? (connect either the red/black)

Could the number of rings affect it? (2 or 3?)

Thanks guys :o

I have mine hooked up to a Denon 1909 receiver. The subwoofer works fine though I did have to decrease front speakers to about -8dB and the subwoofer increased to about +10dB. The setting on the control pod was around 45.

If you have any questions shoot me a PM. I was really worried about having to buy a new subwoofer - but this one ended up working fine after some tweaking!

I have a similar cable which came with D & K Sub woofer. How do i connect it to 1909 receiver.

The subwoofer has connections (L & R) which can be connected using the cable shown above. But the black connection doesn't go to Pre-out of denon 1909
