I have recently purchase a Philips DVP5960 and a Pioneer VSX-90TXV. I originally had the dvd player running HDMI right to the TV and was able to get sound perfectly. Now when I run it to the new receiver I get no sound at all. I talked to a friend and he said the hdmi in and out of the receiver is a glorified dvi port. Meaning no sound will be managed by the HDMI ports. Is this true???? :confused:
