I was experimenting with my samsung dvd-hr720, recorder to find out if it was possible to clone hdd then reinsert old drive to see if a forced format would have to be done, and to my amazement it is possble to clone it reinstall new drive, with clone programs on it, to see all programs on it, then take out new drive and reinstall old drive without having to reformat it, all programs were intact.... very interesting.....I have tried that with my Panasonic dmr-eh75 and dmr-eh50 and dmr-eh55's but no luck, but this machine it can be done. It took 60min to clone drive on my cloning machine.... 120gb hdd is in the samsung , don't know if anyone has had this luck with other dvd recorders.
