Hi, I was interested in signing up with Dish Network to get their HD programming but wanted to keep my cable. Does Dish Network have receivers that would be able to pass the cable company's signal to the TV? I noticed that their receivers had Ant in so I thought this might be possible.

The VIP receivers won't. The ant in is for OTA.

Can anyone tell me if the VIP622/722, or any others, can pass full WS via analog connection to a DVD recorder?

Sure, but you are limited to channels NTSC 2-13 :D

If by full, you mean 1440x1080i or 1280x720p, no - nor would your standalone DVD recorder take it as an input via an analog connection.

No, just a 16:9 WS pic without bars anywhere.

Why not connect the cable directly to the TV. The Dish Network box will not be connected to the cable input on the TV.
