Anybody ever hear of some kind of cover that protects the screen when it's not in use? I'm thinking of getting a 50" plasma and I have two kids under 5 years old. I'm confident I can keep them away from it when I'm there, but when they're being watched by their grandmother or somebody else I can't be sure a lego won't bounce off it at high velocity.

I'm thinking some kind of heavy mat, that could be hung from the top of the set? Anybody ever hear of such a thing?

Just get you old lady to sew something up, with some heavy material.

I think some quilted material would do the job. I haven't seen any commercial solution. Interesting.

I use posterboard from the office supply store. Plastic bolts attach round plastic hooks which fit over the top edge of the display. The hooks are cut from pipe-hangers bought at a hardware store. A bit a wood connects the hooks and the bolts.

The posterboard does not cut very neatly; I cover the edges with white duct tape.

This was originally for cat-proofing the screen; I had a cat who liked to scratch vertical glass surfaces. It keeps the dust off, too.

How about one of those quilted moving blankets?

Yeah I'm sure I could come up with something like that - I was just wondering if there was something out there already. Maybe something with some kind of leather cover that looked nice.
