I am the new owner of a new Optoma HD 65.
Excellent resolution and brightness. As for color, I noticed an excessive red at all inputs, mainly in and HDMI. RGB was easy to correct, but HDMI that has "gain" and "bias" adjustments for each color, I was unable to reach a satisfactory result, which currently leads me to not use the HDMI.
I adjusted brightness and contrast with the Video Essentials.
Someone had similar difficulty?
Any hint of the calibration roadmap?
Thank you,
Marcos

Past experience with Optoma projectors and their Digital Video inputs resulted in very wide adjustment to the various registers - some at or near the end of their ranges.
Don't give up adjusting only because your are into adjustment territory that, upon appearances, seems unthinkable.

Okay ... here's the issue with his problem (via PM). It is color saturation ... not grayscale. There is no color saturation control via HDMI and his colors are too intense ... what can he do?

There is a color control for the other inputs ...

One solution ... maybe his DVD player has color saturation controls ...

I checked the manual on-line...whew! Pretty lousy impersonation of a owner's manual.
It isn't clear if all adjustment parameters are available using HDMI. Typically, it is Color / Black Level / Contrast that are available with a Digital input, and nothing else.
I PM'd as well. Not sure we can help him w/o being in front of one.
