This is all my brother talks about. He is a Silent Hill freak. Loves it. He is counting the days until this game comes out.

It was a bad movie if you didn't already know the stories of Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 fairly well (mainly Silent Hill, but they stole some bits from the second game). If you did (and could fill in all the missing mythology yourself), it was a pretty good realization of the game environment and visuals.

As to Homecoming, I'm looking forward to it, but I hope it's not a combat fest. Double Helix was really focusing on their combat animations and combat system for awhile, and that's not really what Silent Hill is about. We'll see. So far they've nailed the visual aspects, I suppose.

I'm a big fan of the Silent Hill series and am looking forward to this game. I recently played SH Origins on the PSP that was very fun but also very much a rehash of previous SH games in play style and even plot. Looking forward to something with the same "feel" but more modernized play style...akin to what RE4 did for that series.

I'm also a big fan of the SH series, and had no idea this was coming out. It looks similiar to the old ones (good to see that flashlight snapped on the front of his shirt, and the sure to be static filled walkie-talkie!), but the graphics are looking a bit dated.

What a crazy bunch of monster ideas though - holy crow. They're freakish enough in the stills, and knowing how the SH series tends to have bizarre animations, I can only imagine how creepy they'll be in game.

Here's a trailer... http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/comments_news.phtml?id=082508_3

Guessing by the SH history, I'm betting this game will score in the 7's. I'll probably pick it up anyway.

I believe it is delayed until November. At least on the PS3 version.

The trailer looks good. This will be at the least a Gamefly rental for me.
