Finally time to retire my Linksys BEFSR41 wired router. Currently have my pc, wii and 360 hooked up to it. I am looking for a friendly compatible Linksys router for the game systems. A PS3 will be added into the mix in the future. I have always been wired. I absolutely know nothing about wireless routers. 1 thing I do know. You have to lock them down for people cannot steal your connection. I will probably go ahead and stay wired. I just want that wireless ability for the future. I will only buy a Linksys since mine has been rock solid and been happy with it. I actually just bought the Linksys CM100 cable modem a few months back. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to stay in the $50-$60 range.

Well if your not worried about Wireless N then a WRT54GL is a great router. The new 54g routers use cheaper components so they don't last long. But the 54GL routers are still powered by Linux so it is more reliable. I flashed my router for maximum reliability but that is a little more advanced. You can find it on Newegg for about $60-$70. It has a 5 port 10/100M switch too.

WRT 54GL and then load it with dd-wrt firmware

Not a fan of Linksys. I can tell you the DLink DIR-655 might be the best router on the market right now. I've done 3 different installs with them and they work flawlessly with awesome range.
