For times when you want to play the video directly through the camera, can you transfer your archived AVCHD files from your computer BACK TO the camera?
With SD cards you can, but you're limited to 16GB currently. Say your take 3 hrs of vacation video and you want to play it back without a 5 minute intermission? (though perhaps your audience would prefer the 2hr limit ;))
Currently I don't have a way to playback the HD video other than through the camera. I'm on a Mac. My plan is to make a disk image of the SD card for archiving on an external drive and make a second copy by simply dragging the card contents (directories, etc) into a folder. This way I have an untouched archive on 1 drive and a copy on a second drive from which to pull videos... hoping Mac + BD drives catch up!
