Sorry but I am new to all of this so I just need some basic setup help. I have a DirecTV HD DVR box, a Pioneer plasma TV, and a Philips DVDR3576H recorder. Can someone please tell me all of the connections necessary to both watch DVDs and also be able to record shows from my DVR to the DVD recorder? So far I have

TV <-> DVR: HDMI
TV <-> DVD recorder: component

Obviously some sort of connection would be needed between the DVD recorder and DVR but I am unsure what. And how all of this works... if someone could help me out a little to get started I would greatly appreciate it.
