I have a samsung 244T monitor and I want to calibrate it to be more correct. I don't know whats a good program for windows that will actually let me change the settings on the monitor.. (Not some setting in the program, that will require me to keep the program installed on my computer).

Anyone have any calibrated settings?

Greetings

Read this thread about copying settings first.

If you are really serious about calibration, then you will need a test disc of some form and you should follow the instructions on it. The discs are cheap ... relatively speaking ... $30 and less. Once using the disc, you can have things set up fairly quickly depending on how well you read and follow instructions.

If you don't want to invest the time to learn it right, then go to the lcd flat panel forums on AVS and find others with similar displays and just copy their settings. Of course since you are using it for a computer monitor, you have to also hope that the random settings are from people using the same graphics card that you are using with the same firmware revisions and that starts getting to be a tall order.

And if they used a test disc of some form, you have to hope that you have the same DVD player program and that the picture settings on the software DVD player were set right. And that the software revision is the same as you have ... etc and etc ... so many variations when it comes to computers and configurations.

Best to do it with a test disc on your own gear to get the best results for you.
