I have a Harmony 880 that I want to use to control both a Pansonic Blu-Ray player and a Panasonic DVD recorder. Unfortunately, both devices respond to the same codes. In the manual for the Blu-Ray player it tells me how to change the codes for the player, but then the Harmony codes are wrong.

Is there a fast way to download the alternate set of codes for the BD-30? If I have to enter them myself, how can I get the discrete PowerOn and PowerOff codes?

Harmony's database will usually have both codesets available if the device supports more than one.

You should be able to go to the device and click on troubleshoot, then tell it that the device does not respond at all. It should then ask you if you have the original remote, tell it yes, and it will ask you to hit a series of buttons on the original remote. After you do that the Harmony software shoul drecognize that you are using the second code set and automatically switch everything over.

I had to do this with my Sony CD Jukebox because it can use 3 different code sets. Sorry if I'm not 100% accurate in my directions, but they should get you close.
