My screen name used to be Big C here at AVS. Back in May of 2008, I was successful making my 2004 US model Pioneer DVD/receiver region-free via one of the IR signals found at one of the links below. I just got a new Pioneer Elite DV-58AV. two days ago. I sent the same IR signal I sent to my older player, and like the older player, it turned off, but unfortunately, my new DV-58AV is still spitting out my region 2 DVDs! I am thinking that maybe one of the following IR signals might be updated and work with the newer models. Once converted into IR output, do the files found at http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto&db=devices&br=pioneer&dv=dvdplayer&md=dv989avi&fc=&kw=&st=&ar=&dt=&so=&pg=6&file=ccf_templates/dvd_players/pio-dvd-dv989avi.zip, http://www.pioneerfaq.info/click/click.php?id=68, and http://www.pioneerfaq.info/click/click.php?id=12 generate the exact same signal? If not, would someone please be kind enough to convert them into WAV files for use with the One for All URC 8910? Thanks a milion!
