For some reason, this was locked in the Blu-ray software forum. Seems to me it presents a very relevant topic for discussion. Why are only certain films being released on blu-ray? Shouldn't all new releases by day and date at this point? What are the studio's waiting for?
My wife and I have been waiting eagerly for this film, having enjoyed it so much at the theater last year. Well, I was waiting to see a blu-ray announcement for it, only to see the standard DVD come out last week. Wife couldn't wait, and bought it yesterday. No blu-ray though, it might have been my first blu purchase had it been released. I would have bought it in anticipation of a blu-ray player purchase later this year.
It's really disturbing to see movies released by major studio's still not getting day and date on blu-ray. What gives?
