I received a Magnavox CMWR10D6 DVD recorder for a birthday present and was wondering (because the owner’s manual never really explained) how I can record shows I have saved on my hard drive on satellite receiver. It asks for the number of the station that I want to record from but the hard drive doesn’t have a number. HELP!!!

You would connect the sat receiver to the dvd recorder using either an s-video cable with red/white audio cables, or using regular composite cables-yellow video, with red/white audio cables. Then you record on the dvd recorders line input channel (Line 1 or Line 2, or Input1 or 2) while playing back from the sat receiver hard drive.
You should be able to select from the line inputs when making a recording...look for, well...Drive Input or Line button on the remote.
