View Full Version : test disk to burn to dvd and test your scaling quality 8:13 09-03-08, 12:54 AM edit Jim Hef 09-04-08, 02:28 PM Haven't done your test, but what's with the attitude about "fancy dancy" players? Are you coveting an upconverting player for yourself? 8:13 09-16-08, 04:16 AM progressive, 29.97, 25 fps. 4:3 aspect ratio. test disks. (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PHYV5OKP) same progressive test disks, alternate download site. (http://files.filefront.com/progressivezip/;11794350;/fileinfo.html) interlaced, 29.97, 25 fps. 4:3 aspect ratio. (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WWFU0LAE) same interlaced test disks, alternate download site. (http://files.filefront.com/interlacedzip/;11793789;/fileinfo.html) The Playstation 3 has overscan when playing 4:3 ntsc dvd. So the test pattern is squished as a result and so it can't be accurately used on the PS3. If you test and think your dvd player is using overscan then I think the test pattern won't be displayed properly and so will give incorrect results. updated the tests disks september 14, 2008 comparison pictures. no powerdvd though (http://files.filefront.com/comparison+pictureszip/;11803083;/fileinfo.html) |
