Green Chemist 09-05-08, 12:46 PM I would try and point your two rear surrounds more at the listening area as opposed to towards the screen wall. Honestly they might be much better served being off of the side walls all together. Even though the back wall/ceiling is slanted, it still might be better for your conditions. http://www.dolby.com/consumer/home_entertainment/roomlayout2.html Take a look here for some basic setup advice. Is that the Onkyo HT-SR800? I've got the same HTiB and I love it. Can't beat it for the price. Good luck! Nightman116 09-05-08, 02:58 PM Yea, that is the 800. It is a great buy for the beginner. I have two small children, so i'm not looking for the big bang yet. I wanted a nice sound that would be okay for the children right now and when they get older, upgrade to a better set. I was looking at the polk audio speakers, but thought it would be just as easy to keep the receiver right now and upgrade the speakers later. |
