Long time looker first time caller:)

Currently I'm running Windows Media Center, but my TV card died on me this last weekend. I've been on the fence to replace it with something smaller for some time now so I'm going to use this as an excuse.

I'm looking for a DVD recorder that has a internal hard drive, and can play DiVX movies on CD. I noticed that you guys seem to like the Phillips model, but will this one work for me? If not what will?

Thanks for the help.

The Philips 3576 or its virtual clone, the Magnavox H2160, are ideal for your purpose

I would lean towards the Magnavox over its Phillips twin, only because it is a few months newer and may have more updated firmware for the tuner and other features. When it comes to ATSC tuners, the newer the better...

How is the reliability on the Magnavox?

Edit: I just checked, it doesnt seem to play DiVX..
