Ok, so maybe this is a bit from the "What? Are you stupid? We've been doing that easier for months!" file, but just in case someone else can benefit:

I have been trying to move all of my iTunes and ripped DVDs to my Quicksilver and access them with the mini over my Airport network (want to get those noisy external hard drives out of the HT). I was having extremely limited success getting the mini to automatically recognize that the Quicksilver was there and to access the libraries. Then I had a brain cramp and thought of Automator. After a few trials, I recorded going from the mini to the Quicksilver and accessing the iTunes library there, saved the recording as an app, and put that in the mini's Login Items. The quicksilver automatically starts about 5-minutes before the mini... this A.M., I open Remote on my iPhone and there's the library!!! Music from my upstairs receiver w/no effort! Woohoo! :D

I actually wrote an Automator script that would mount the shares I wanted mounted at boot and then add them to the sidebar in Finder. If you're interested, PM me and I can provide details.
