just would like to know if any one knows the best settings to calibrate my Philips 42PF9831D tv....i want to try and get the best picture quality i can get :)

You need to read this thread first.

If you are serious about getting the best image quality, you will get yourself a test disc like AVIA or DVE or Get Gray or Monster ISF or other and follow the instructions to a better image. This will be better than blindly copying down settings. And it will take likely no more than 1 hour of your time.

If you just want to be lazy ... then this is the wrong area. Go to the LCD or Plasma forum areas and trade settings until you are blue in the face. :(
