Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm looking to utilize PIP by going through my DVD player's HDMI for one signal, and my RF connection for the other. I use strictly OTA for everything.

Looking for an inexpensive DVD player with a tuner, they seem to be hard to find? Any help would be appreciated. :)

DVD players tend to not have tuners. At least I've never seen one with one. Since they only play back DVDs, then they have little to no use for tuners.

A DVD recorder, however, would make use of a tuner. Some are tunerless, though, so be sure to check.

I believe LG made one such beast (LG 3500?) a few years back with ATSC tunner.

DVD Recorder would be fine too.

There was an LG3510A model a few years back that combined an HD cable/OTA tuner with an upconverting DVD player. Nobody else made one and that one is discontinued but can be found used or refurbished at times. I bought a used one a year or so ago for $75 and it has worked well.

Check the DVD Recorder thread for DVD recorders with ATSC tuners. I have a Panasonic that does the job, DMR-EZ47 or something like that.

If you're just using it for PIP this may not matter, but I think all the current DVD recorders with digital tuners downconvert the HD channels to SD before passing them through.
