Greetings

You need to read this thread first.

If you are serious about getting the best image quality, you will get yourself a test disc like AVIA or DVE or Get Gray or Monster ISF or other and follow the instructions to a better image. This will be better than blindly copying down settings. And it will take likely no more than 1 hour of your time.

If you just want to be lazy ... then this is the wrong area. Go to the LCD or Plasma forum areas and trade settings until you are blue in the face.

Your best bet, as Michael said, is to go to the LCD Flat Panel area and search for postings on your particular model of display. There you may find what you seek. This area is primarily for those of us interested in actually calibrating displays--whether pro like Michael or DIY like me--and not really for exchanging lists of settings. You will see some recommendations for individual settings or adjustments here from time to time, but this is usually only when the change is desireable or found to be necessary in a calibration.

The "best settings" are the settings the THX or ISF Certified Calibrator determines for your individual set.

where can I get the THX or ISF certified calibrator from and it's not that I'm being lazy it's just that somebody told me on another forum that I could find help from this forum on specifically getting the best calibration settings on my tv. Also I really don't want to spend $25 on a dve disc so I was trying to see if there was a better solution, maybe a free one.

Greetings

A Free solution is the THX optimode on any THX mastered DVD. Learn it and use it. 5 minutes to a better image on your TV based on your equipment and room environment.
