I have searched on this here but didn't find any results.

I am stuck to putting my TV in a box-out above the fireplace, but it's way too high. I'm looking for any kind of mount that will extend outwards and down at least 1' or more. I've searched and the best I see is a 1" vertical adjustment mount.

Thanks!

I'm facing the same dilemma. I guess I'll just have to angle it down.

I'm just talking from the hip here.... Maybe you could set one up like this one (http://www.mountsdirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=761&osCsid=05795faaa171e6770050b0631bbf86ea)

(would have to be one that will allow you to swivel the tv).... doesnt have to be this one and instead of mounting it to the wall like it shows... you could mount it perpendicular to the ground instead of parrallel... then the arm could go down instead of horizontally.

Problem would be that you probably couldn't lock arm at a certain height or lock it in the up position and it wouldn't be hidden since the tv would be below the base but you could come up with some way to hide most of it if you thought about it for a while.

You could look at different mounts and maybe be able to find one that at its longest extension would "hang" at the right level that you want it to.

Just thinking

Something like this: http://www.peerlessmounts.com/dyn/Products/BrowseProduct.aspx/tn/74/u/t/categoryID/195

or this: http://www.peerlessmounts.com/dyn/Products/BrowseProduct.aspx/tn/67/u/t/categoryID/195

or maybe this: http://www.chiefmfg.com/productdetail.aspx?MountID=50

or this: http://www.chiefmfg.com/productdetail.aspx?MountID=55

I'm not sure any of those would absolutely right, but maybe it'll get close.

Ahz,

Have you found anything yet? I am in the same situation-- the ledge on top of my fireplace is 58" from the floor and sticks out 11 inches.

Nope, took the TV down and put it in the corner.
