I have a few questions about the Denon RC-7000CI. I'll be using it with a Denon 4308CI. I currently have a Harmony 880.

With the Denon remote, is there a concept of an Activity? Can't seem to find any information online about how to program or download the software. I'm interested to know also if the remote is smart enough to maintain the state of the devices its controlling? So for instance, if I switch between activities both of which use the 4308 but different inputs, is the remote smart enough to leave the receiver on and only change the input?

I'm also wondering about the range. All my components are in an upstairs closet directly above my A/V room.

If anyone has or could post the software, I'd really like to try it out before I buy the remote.

Thanks.

Denon makes great A/V equipment but their remotes have always been abortions. Don't spend extra for a denon remote oyu will hate it.

I'm open to suggestions for an RF remote. The 2-way capability of the RC-7000 is appealing, but not required. I have a Harmony 880, which works fine, but I'm not crazy about it, so the Harmony 890 isn't very appealing. H1000 is less so with fewer hard buttons.

The Universal RF remotes seem to be popular, but then I'd ask the same questions relative to programming and activities as I asked about the RC-7000 in my original post.
