Hi,

I must find a way to send RS232 command to VP20 with optional add-on ABT102 to activate '4:3 Stretch' mode.

In one of the documents posted on ABT website I found the following sequence - \x02\x33\x30\x30\x36\x45\x31\x00\x31\x34\x00\x03 - but sadly it does not work with my unit.

Is there other command?
Can I send another sequence via RS232?

I downloaded also CCFs from the Anchorbay website, IR codes for the '4:3 Stretch' do not work either!

Did anybody check these Pronto files?

Power on/off, source inputs switching work just fine, though

Got the latest firmware? Sometimes they add codes in newer versions.

This is exactly the problem

I was told by ABT that this is a known issue in VP20 and I need to downgrade to 1.02, loosing "1080p passthrough" feature (which did not work either)

I was also told that both VP20 and VP30 are discontinued and there will be NO fix.. (regardless of the fact that the models are still listed on the website and still sold in stores!!!)

These who want to buy the DVDO EDGE processor - be careful with your next purchase

Yeah, their firmware always has regressions. The 50 (which I have) is the same way.
