The basement is finally finished and although it isn"t as big or nice as some I have seen on this site, I am happy with the finished product.

Other than the cowboys helmets, :D you've done a nice job with the space.

Very nice job and a great basement transformation. I really like that stone on the fireplace. Great choice!
But I must agree w/ bass addict. Those stinkin' cowgirl helmets gotta go....Go Eagles!!!

Thanks for the replies and I am immune to the Cowboys hate considering I live in Redskins country (ugh).

I like the cabinet choices for the mini-fridge area as well as the fire place stone.

All you need is an inflatable Steelers Goal Post for down there and it's done ;).

Thanks they are maple cabinets and I only spent about $500 total. The stone is a huge improvement over the brick, and the gas fireplace is much nicer than the wood insert.

A very nice and comfy looking room and the corner you've created for watching tv looks nice and comfy plus it looks like the ground work is now laid so that when you what to switch off the tv for some Home Theater you can easily mount either a pull down or motorized big screen, place a projector on a back wall shelf or ceiling mount. Have you thought about eventually having the tv for tv viewing and projection for HT?
Good Luck - very nice room!

The distance from the couch to the tv is only about 11', 17' to the back wall. I just assumed I didn"t have enough room for a projector.

Actually it's the opposite. Your room is too big for anything but. In order to take full advantage of 1080p on your 50" display, you need to be sitting 6' or closer to the screen. From 11', you should be using a display that's at least 85". Move your seating back 1'-2', get a projector and a 100"+ screen and you'll be good to go.

Looks great! Love what you did with the fireplace!

But I still despise you and your team for crushing my poor Browns Sunday. Fortunately, it's something I'm prepared for throughout the rest of the season.
Cowboys = Great Team
Browns = Overrated B-team

I hope the Browns do well this season because I have Jamal Lewis on my fantasy team.

You may already know this, but you need to bench Jamal this week and next. Don't start him again until they play Cincy in week 4.

You can thank me later. :)
