I just set the display to the reference settings found in the pio 8G thread. This unit has been used for at least 3 weeks so I'm wondering what I should do about burn in protection, I'm assuming nothing. I checked the set at best buy and saw no detection of IR, burn in or dead pixels (that may just be with LCD, not sure) I didn't read the whole like 100 page thread, but are there day/night settings for this set? I only found reference settings in that thread. Where do I find settings for the 72Hz thing for watching bluray/hddvd movies? Is there any special settings I should know about. I did about a month of research on this tv before finally deciding I couldn't afford it and buying a cheap 720p 32" but then saw the price on this today and pulled the trigger!
