i am going overseas i a month and i need a very nice camcorder that gives good quality when playingback on a tv...an add-on camera function that is excellent would be good

my budget is $500

may I ask are you firm on 500 $? A little more will take you a long way. Besides, please look at some of the internet stores and call them. Also - don't forget to visit some BM stores. If you can wait, black friday is just around the corner and a lot of deals can be had.

$500 is my limit..i need something now because i will be leavin soon...any suggestions would be great..nothing too much but then again a good camcorder that can pick up the sceneries..im goin to india so there will be a lot of stuff to record

500 is a tough limit. For a little more you can get a nice HD camcorder but for less than that only SD or some not so good format, like DVD camcorders. Your best bet is the Panasonic HDC-SD9 AVCHD , 540.00 from Amazon with no tax and no shipping fees.

hmm..im okay with SD....but is there any HD less than $500 that does the job?
