JI believe you are looking for this: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=972648 KLee 09-07-08, 05:02 PM What of Mitsub's new 65 inch set? Why no talk on this? J Because it cost the same as a Pio Elite Kuro 151 and about $2G more than a Kuro 6020.... If the Laserview can match 9G Kuro PQ (which I doubt), it is still at a disadvantage being an RPTV that cannot hang on the wall......and this is taking price OUT of the equation.... But this is just part of the problem.... The MUCH BIGGER problem is the fact 5w/lumen PDP tech will arrive next year(said to have superior performance to even current Kuro Elite PDPs) and it seems Panasonic will introduce a 65-inch Extreme Contrast "NeoPDP" panel spring 09 with 5w/lumen tech: http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/news/2008/08/28/IFA-2008--Panasonic-Ultra-Thin-TVs---BD-Players-Revealed/p1 In a nutshell, both LCD and PDP tech are proving time and time again to be amazingly resilient and upgradable tech, the advanced developments of which have cockblocked "dream display techs"s like SED, FED and now Laserview........ In other words, Laserview is about 1 year too late and about $3K too expensive to be a real differentiator in the market ala LCD/PDP.....that window of opportunity is closing fast.... Furthermore, PDPs and LCDs are getting so good, so thin and so cheap, I am beginning to think that if they continue to improve at this pace, they will even be a serious threat to Home Theater sized OLEDs!!! pengilly 09-07-08, 09:43 PM You can hang them on the wall. gus738 09-07-08, 10:29 PM very nice klee that all that should be said, oh and its not out yet Because it cost the same as a Pio Elite Kuro 151 and about $2G more than a Kuro 6020.... LOL pengilly  You can hang them on the wall. RandyWalters 09-08-08, 11:12 PM You can hang them on the wall.Big whoop. At my shop we have huge Tube TV hanging on the wall too. You could basically hang anything on the wall, but that doesn't mean it's designed to be there. Laser is a Rear Projection TV and is still about a foot thick so the wall-hangable thing is a bit of a stretch for it's supporters. This topic should be in the RPTV forum, not a Flat Panel forum . . . . :p jl4069 09-08-08, 11:23 PM thanks for clarifying the situation.
