I just hooked up my HC1500 to my HTPC via VGA. For some reason, as the computer boots, I get a normal image. When the computer first shows the windows screen, I get a normal image. Then, after a split second, everything goes to scrambled junk. It looks like a computer screen "jumping" and only showing about half of it.

When I press the Auto Position button, it goes blank for about a minute, then shows about half the screen in a jumpy and oversized way. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

My inexpert opinion is that the horizontal and vertical positions as well as the tracking are to blame. I don't know what they do, but they keep changing every time I press the Auto Position button.

I would love to get this thing working, and I'm all out of ideas. When I plug the vga cable into my lcd screen, everything looks fine.

thanks,

Will

Will,
Did you try the PC-Computer button on the remote?
"When viewing images supplied from an analog-connected computer, press the Computer button on the remote."

As per the Mit Manual, For Analog connection:
use the supplied RGB cable to the Computer IN/Component In (Some Video cards provide a Component (RGB) dongle.
If you want best video/text quality from your HTPC, you should use the Digital(HDMI) Input on the HC-1500.
Also, need more info on your HTPC Oper. Sys, Video card and video driver.
Hope this helps,
