Need a good HDTV somewhere between 42 and 37 for the bedroom.

This TV will be hooked up as a computer monitor so 1300 or better resolution will probably be necessary.

The TV needs to be sold at best buy and priced somewhere in the $800'ish range if possible.

TV will likely see use for gaming and movies as well, but not heavily. Mostly television usage.

View distance is only 10-15 feet.

Subtitles are likely be to used on this TV often.

I appreciate any and suggestions.

Thank you for your time.

both of those are low-res at this price point.

1300 or better, please unless you think 1024 is suitable for using as a computer monitor. i imagine even 1300 will be strained vs. 1900.

I'm not sure you understand resolution....

The 1st number is not the important number in the equation. The 2nd number is what you should be looking for. 1024x768, 1366x768, 1920x1080 are pretty much the only resolutions you are going to see on TV's. And if you are looking for a TV for 800, that is 1080p, then I will tell you that you are not going to find a quality TV. You will more than likely have to settle for some Dynex POS or something like that.

720p, 1080i, 1080p. Those are your resolutions. Not 1300, 1024, or 1900
