Hi guys,

I was wondering how I could secure my HDTV (Sharp Aquos 37d43u) to a wall to prevent theft. Are there any options available to do this?

Thanks!

Get any of the wall mounts with a security feature. I use an Omnimount that has a locking bar with two lock tabs that accept small padlocks.

Thanks! As Gary says there are security options. However, the problem with those options is the possibility of the thief damaging your panel trying to get it off the wall.

I'm looking into valuable item insurance for my panel. It is about 1$ per 100$ of coverage per year and it covers theft, and damage (including accidental).

probably insurance would be best... if the thief can't get it off the wall, they are likely to destroy it just to spite you (they do this with car subs)...

i gotta ask... why?

If you own your home then your home owners policy will cover any TV theft! If you have full replacement coverage, like I do, if stolen you get a brand new TV, just have to show your agent the receipt for the new replacement TV.
