My Panny AE900u broke, and the warranty company said they would exchange it for its retail value ($900) or a Sony Bravia VPL-AW10.

My question is, what should I do?

I can ask them to continue to fix my AE900u (I have 1 more year extended warranty and 1 more year bulb warranty)

I can take the $$$ (I have not budgeted any $$$ toward an upgrade until next year when my AE900u warranty is up)

I can take the Sony (I have no idea if there would be an extended warranty or bulb warranty available)

Any ideas? The most important thing for me is a quality PJ with a warranty (extended and bulb)

Thanks!

Assuming you want LCD, take the $900 and buy an Epson HC720 from Visual Apex for which also comes with a free spare bulb worth $350 which you can keep or sell.

If you don't mind DLP with no lens shift and short throw, get a Planar 7060 at tigerdirect.com
