I found out that cablevision is having a interrmitent network problem. Sometimes when you turn on your cable box you will get a blank screen and changing channels is a tempiorry fix while box is on. You will have to do it again when you turn box and turn it on later. Rebooting box will fix it only for about a week. This is a update to my previous thread as my box is not broken.
