I will soon be buying the RF-82's to replace my existing front KG-4.5 speakers. When I get my new RF-82's, I was thinking of moving my existing KG-4.5's to the back as my surrounds. Those are fairly big speakers for use as a surround but I have read where other people use the same type of set-up. So, is there anything I should do or be aware of if I set those big KG's up to the rear?

OK, thanks...great ideas. I'll follow them to the letter!
Are you getting a center to match the RF-82?
If so, then you are set. The match won't perfectly, but with surrounds it shouldn't matter all that much. The sensitivities are close enough that you will be able to level-match in the receiver setup.

I would use them, I guess the only thing to be concerned about is surrounds should be at ear level which is hard to do with big speakers. But since you already own them what the heck, KG 4.5s are nice speakers.

I have a set of KG 4.5's that I used to use as mains. I've since moved and space is tight, so I'm looking at the RB-81's as mains with matching surrounds and center.
From what I've read (and heard, I've decided to move my KG 4.5's to a larger room for music only, which is really what I bought them for years ago. However as mains in theater mode, I was never disappointed, so I would say ANYWHERE in the system they would sound great. Maybe not matched, but great.
Love that line from Klipsch..

Actually, the center is not the RC-62 but the RC-52. Not quite the same "punch" but not bad to my ears.
Thanks for the input everyone.:D
