WHAT THE??!!?? I just replaced my old Philips DVDR with this new one and now when I try to record MSNBC or CNN off my DirecTV HR-21 700 HD/TiVo unit I get a message that says "Record error" copyrighted material. I never had this with the old one and what's is the point of having a recorder when you can't record anything? Are there any codes to get past this balony?

I have a Philips Philips DVDR3475 witha similar problem. I can record most channels off Charter cable but not HBO, Cinimax, and other movie channels. I get the E45 error message- "cannot record this program in +VR"
I am recording a composite video signal; I have S video input, which is better quality, but I suspect the same E45 error would surface.
Anyone know a "work around" for this problem?
