I recently found out that the 6050 Yamaha receiver that I purchased doesn't have as many inputs as the guy from Best Buy told me they did. I know, I should have done more research. Oh well. I'm finding that I will need to get an HD a/v switcher so that I can have my xbox 360, wii, dvd player and tv set up so that I can experience the true 5.1 sound from all of my peripherals. Can anyone suggest me something that's "most bang for the buck." I own a Vizio HDTV and I purchased the Yamaha receiver...so if you couldn't already tell, I'm sort of a cheapskate.
Thanks for the help! I'm pretty noobish to all of this stuff :)

you probably be best off using the avr for audio and using a separate hdmi switcher--oppo makes a great one for like 100--there are otehrs starting to emerge on themarket as well. this is of course assuming that it is teh video inputs you don;t have enough of--if it is both audio and video you should probably return the avr for one with more inputs--you'll pay less for an avr upgrade than a good av switcher.

Well, I don't think returning the avr is going to be possible. I threw out the box so I doubt the store would take it back. I guess I would have to talk to them about it on Saturday. The receiver takes video hdmi signals, but not audio. Hence why I would need to get a switcher.
