I am about to buy a 42" inch Z80U from Fry's. Anyone know how good their warranty is? They are offering a 5 year (4 additional after manufactureres) for 170. Anyone who has taken their warranty and have used it to fix the TV could you please comment on the following?

1. How good is their service?
2. Any catches on what they cover and what they don't?
3. Is it transferable if I sell the TV?
4. Any other catches that invalidate the warranty etc.?

Thanks,
Arvind

You would be better off buying a warrenty online, cheaper & the services are just as good.

I think Mack warrenty is the one recommended by quite a few people here.

Price Match it at Best Buy and pick up the standard 4 year. (unless you want it calibrated then pick up the premium) No one else offers full replacement, full no lemon, yearly cleaning in home, loaner TVs if it has to be serviced, transferrable, pro-rated return etc.
