I have a harmony 550 and i was on Amazon and was these. Are they any good or should i stick with logitech? thanks

The way I understand it, the Monster remotes are pretty much Logitech remotes. Monster just sells them under their name. They even use the Logitech Harmony programming software.

So if you really like the layout and look of the Monster remotes then go ahead, if you prefer the look and layout of Harmony remotes stick with them.

I programmed a Monster remote some time ago, and was informed by tech support that they are in fact made by Harmony.

I was told that the Monster AVL 300 is basically the equivalent of the Harmony 890 Pro.

I wouldn't buy one just because it is sold by Monster.

I haven't checked -- Do these remotes have special oxygen-free internal circuitry or gold plating or something that lets Monster charge 5-10 times as much as an equivalent Harmony? ;)

I reviewed the Monster AVL300 a little while ago and I really liked it. I thought it was ugly at first but the design grows on you. It is comparbly priced and featured to the H890 Pro
