Ok, I need a cable that looks like this, except I need the one end to be female on both sides. Does such a cable exist? I can't find one anywhere

How about two of these? One for red and one for white.

ok, today I went to radio shack and bought a coupler and attached it to the male end of the female/male connection. I then connected the female inputs from the component, and did not get any sound.

What i'm trying to do is, I have my Nintendo Wii and Original Xbox connected to my TV via component input, into comp in 1 and comp in 2. THe only thing I'm feeding directly to the TV is the video from each cable.

The L/R audio cables from each cord, i'm trying to feed into a single audio input of my AV Receiver, for the surround. This way I select the Audio source on the Receiver, and depending on which one i'm using, The audio gets fed through my 5.1 surround.

Currently i've been using the cable pictured in my original post, since I had it laying around. The male only End is plugged into the receiver. The other end with the male/female, I use with the Wii and xbox, but only one at a time. I have to swap cables everytime I want to switch from the xbox to the wii.

Is what i'm trying to do even possible? Can you have to audio outputs going into a single audio input via splitter type cable?

Thanks

Walmart and other places have audio Y-cable/adapter... a Y-shaped cable with male RCA on each end of the Y. Use two to combine two units into one set of L/R inputs for your receiver.

I don't have as much idea about cables but for information go through milestek.com or milestek1553.com. Both sites provides custom length cables, specials and hard to find items like Databus Couplers, Connectors, Computer Cabling and other Databus & Electronic Components...hope that resources would be work for you....
