I have a mitsubishi DLP with model number WD-62530. The problem I am having is that it has an overall green color saturation. It is very saturated with green. This is happening on all inputs and even just in the menu. Anyone have a guess about what could be the cause of this? I cant find much information on avs or other forums about this particular issue for DLP. I found some people that had the problem on particular inputs or with particular aspect ratios but not as a whole. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I unplugged my TV overnight and changed the lamp power up to slow- so far, so good. MNF is looking awesome so far.

Start looking how to replace the Light Engine $$$Not necessarly. How does it look on B&W material or with the color level turned down to zero? IOW's how is the grey scale?
ALL electronics age no matter what type. Things change. Depending on how bad this is, it might just need some tweaking.

If the menu is affected by this "very saturated with green" problem, there is a hardware problem. "Some grayscale tweaking" will not even affect the color of the menu.

Are you pretty sure it would be the light engine that would cause this? I was quoted $732 for a replacement engine (plus installation) if that is the case. I'm mainly frustrated with how it comes and goes. You'd think if it was broken, it wouldn't work, and if it's sporadic, it should be fixable. Any suggestions appreciated.

Also, this isn't a DLP TV. The WD-62530 is RPLCD.

I did have a tech out to see the problem; that's where the $732 + labor quote came from. To say the tech didn't inspire confidence in his abilities would be an understatement- "A new light engine should fix it, but I can't guarantee that" doesn't leave me with warm fuzzy feelings (and also makes me think there might be a cheaper fix available). Unfortunately, I live in a pretty rural area, so there isn't much available as far as local repair shops, hence my asking on this forum.

If you haven't called Mits yet, do so. Tell them you live out in the boondocks and no service facility is near enough. Get a incident (reference) number, or whatever it is called. Then ask to speak to someone in California (possibly a 2nd phone call). Ask them to ask their 'advisor' what other board could be replaced instead of the whole Light Engine this so called 'tech' said was needed, since you are the one paying for this.
