I have a Yamaha Receiver RX-V463.

Only HD channels have audio (and one analog channel- Comedy Central ??)..
HD Channels via DVR and XBOX games (Both via HDMI) then sent to my projector work ...

Its my Scientific Atlanta DVR that sends an HDMI signal to my Yamaha Receiver RX-V463. That is connected in the DVR HDMI slot
I also have an XBOX that sends an HDMI signal to the receiver as well via HDMI, connected via the DVD HDMI slot.
I then have an out connected to my Planar PD7060 HD Projector.
My Speakers are Klipsch Quintet III

XBOX games work just fine. When i switch the input to Cable - works just fine as well but only on HD Channels. If i put it on ESPNHD, it works great. If I put it on ESPN - it gives me no audio.

Ive gone through the OSD and cant seem to find anythign that might help me, but im new to this so I may be missing something.

There are no other cables between the equipment other than the HDMI cables mentioned above.

You might need to connect a pair of analog L/R cables from the DVR to the DVR inputs on the receiver. Then, set the input source selection mode to "auto" or what ever it's called.

It's also possible the default decoder is set to Dolby Digital or something like that and Dolby Digital won't come from many channels. Be sure the default decoder is set to Auto.

After hours of adjustment, i finally got it to work.
