Unlike a computer LCD monitor our HDTVs panels cannot change their resolution or frame rates. They must scale all inputs to their native resolution and progressive frame rate. Yours is likely 768px60 Hz. OTA signals are 480i, 720p or 1080i x60 Hz. Your set should display the characteristics of the OTA input but never the sets display characteristics since it never changes. jtbell 09-18-08, 07:55 AM Are you using a cable or satellite box? If so, it's probably set to output everything at 1080i, so from your TV's point of view all your channels are 1080i. If you want 1080i channels to come through as 1080i and 720p channels to come through as 720p look in your box's setup menus for a "resolution" setting and set it to "passthrough" or "native" or something like that. Or you can set it to 720p to make everything come through as 720p. |
