Hi All,

I have an ONKYO 605 connected to a SAW2500 via the sub line., I also have an old no brand pasive sub that is not connected to the system.

My question is: Can I connect the pasive sub to the SAW speakers conections with out damaging the receiver?

Thank you very much for the answer

I think you are talking about the Sony S-AW2500 powered subwoofer.

In order to use the passibe sub, I think you would need a Y splitter connected to your Onkyo's LFE out, and a separate power amp to drive the passive sub.

I don't think you can drive the passive sub from the speaker level connections of the Sony subwoofer. It's amplfier was not designed to power both the Sony sub AND a passive sub.
