Hey guys, I'm looking for a sub to match with my Fluance speakers and my older Onkyo receiver (tx-ds494). My budget is tight, I would like to spend under $100 if possible. A few years back when I bought these speakers I seem to remember talk on this forum of a <$100 Yamaha sub that was supposed to be a good match for them. Any suggestions? I do about 50/50 video gaming and movies but movies are more important. This is probably irrelevant considering the price range I'm shopping in but thought I would include it just in case.

No one is responing, because no one wants to recommend a $100 sub. Try back when you have $200, Then you will have everyone recommending a Bic H-100.

I agree with david-me. I try not to be one of the forum members who says "don't even bother unless you can spend $xxxxxxxx", but the truth is, there really isn't anything good out there for $100. If you can find something under $100, that's probably the one you should get. I found a 10" Audiosource subwoofer:

I have no idea if it's any good (I'd doubt it), but it's only $105. However, my recommendation is to hold off a while a save some more money. Even getting up to $150-170 will give you a lot more options. The Velodyne VX-10 is regularly available for ~$150-170, and sometimes drops down into the ~$100-150 range on good sales. Above that in the $250 range you'll be getting Bic H-100 recommendations. Best of luck.
