In various postings in numerous HT forums, people include floorplans, some of which are simple 2D and some are 3D that looks like somebody had tremendous Autocad skills.
Whare are some suggestions for SIMPLE:rolleyes: PC software that can be used for diagramming floorplans to scale? (Autocad light is even overkill for my needs).
Thanks,

I would suggest the quickest learning one is to use Visio. If you have a computer at work most companies have licenses. You cant do all the fancy 3D but its quite simple to create a floor plan for permits, etc..

Punch Pro has many different levels of software you can use. I don't know autocad light, so I don't know if it's more or less complicated...

I've tried using punch, but then I went back to adobe illustrator and adobe indesign for the 2d, just because I didn't want to learn another software package. I used google sketchup for 3d, which i also highly recommend.

With Punch the 3D is just a view of the 2D floorplan - all the objects are 3D and you only need adjust their elevations.
