Hello Everyone,
Im using my onkyo 605 receiver for almost a year now and suddenly the optical aux in stopped working.

I Want to know if there is an option to reset all the settings of the receiver to factory settings so i can be sure i didnt mess up the settings. I think it happen since i set the HDMI input for AUX but im not sure.

I Also want to know if the connection stopped working because of physical issue, will the warranty cover such situation?

Thank you very much,
Niv.

I too use what's likely a realtek sound card that came with my motherboard. I do use their drivers. I remember when I set it up it was kind of a PITA to get going as well. The settings menu still doesn't recognize me having a connection made, but it works. Anyway, the only way the digital output will work is if it's turned on in the settings menu. On mine, there's an O/I tab with a drop down menu. "Digital PCM Output" must be selected or else it shuts the digital output off. Also, there's a sub-menu (in the same menu) that has a radio button setting for "Output Digital Audio Source" that I think must be ticked as well.
