Can someone tell me if this is the 800U or the 85U?
It does not say model number anywhere.

It's roughly equivalent to the PZ80U.
It's a 1080P set.

The FD is the 1080P version of the PZ80U.
The HD is the 768P version of the PX80U.
I have the TH-C42HD18. It has a matte finish and one less HDMI front port than the PX80U. Very good quality for the price.

Check Costco's website now because they just got the PZ800 back in again. What I don't understand is that the FD18 is now $100.00 more than it was before & Panny's just had a price cut so I was expecting the FD18 to be around $1,500 when they got them back in again?
Also if you fight with BB, CC or Sears they will usually match the price on the Costco models.

Then give Sears or Best Buy your business but I know people in my area that have got them to price match Costco because the prices usually are not that far off anyway. And if you really wanted to get it from CC all you have to do is buy an Big Entended Warranty that they love to sell & then all you have to do is return the Warranty within 30 days. I would never do that though I would give them a chance at my business & if they din't want it then the heck with them.

Costco website lists 2 panasonic 1080p models. One of them is the 800 with THX mode which I believe has the same price as Amazon's.
