I'm currently reviewing subs for my HT set up.

Polks all Black
Center CS2
L/R Monitor 50's or 60's depending on e-bay
Suround Monitor 30's

I was looking at the Polk PSW125 so I would have a everything matched up by brand/look. I see though that A2 - 300 come highly recommended for similar polk set ups. So I have few questions.

Formost is it worth the extra to go to a A2 - 300 for $330 versus an PSW125 for $269.99 and anyone compaired these two against each other and what was the thoughts/out come.

I live in a split level home and have a 3 foot high or so crawl space under the living room floor and I have plush carpet. I am wondering if a downward firing Sub would work or would a forward one be better. Max distance from the Sub is going to be about 15 feet. Over all room is about 14" by 18"

Thanks

Yes, it is worth the extra to get the Ed A2-300. It will go deeper and play louder. It will work with your Polk speakers. With Internet Direct subs, you don't have to pay a middleman, like Circuit City or Best Buy, so you get more sub for your money dealing directly with the manufacturer, Ed.

You have seen the Ed recommended over the Polk subs. Nothing has changed.
